Stereotronique has been steadily making a name for themselves in the Canadian and International EDM scene since Kevin O’Brien and Lane Theriault first joined forces in 2010. Having started their production careers in Calgary, Canada, the pair signed on with Orphan Records, where they released their first EP titled Respond. In September  2011, they packed up and moved their studio to Toronto, where they currently reside.

2012 has been a huge year so far for Stereotronique. Beginning with a string of very successful bootleg releases including their remix of Adrian Lux’s Teenage Crime, which peaked at #2 on HypeMachine while receiving support and play from Lux himself. Stereotronique bootlegs have been featured on numerous blogs around the globe (many multiple times) and continue to receive very positive reviews. Some of these blogs include: SalaciousSound, The Music Ninja, Techibeats, DJ Mag Canada, Aerial Noise, Caveman Sound, SpinTheDisc, Bingoballs, Whitefolksgetdrunk and the list goes on.

The duo also played alongside Benny Benassi and Sander Van Doorn earlier this year in Calgary and have headlined numerous shows in Toronto, while holding a residency at the Hoxton Nightclub, one of the cities marquis EDM venues.

Having spent the past few months building their brand off the success of their bootleg remixes, Stereotronique is back with an onslaught of new originals slated for release throughout this summer, including a recent successful release on the Monstercat Label (Waterloo, Ontario), and upcoming release with Provoke (Toronto). The pair also have plenty of shows booked throughout the coming months already and things are not slowing down for these two any time soon…
